Young women drink natural wine, too, even in the 1950s Los Angeles natural wine shop

I debated whether or not to hold a tasting tonight, Valentine’s Day, but decided to go ahead, given that there are a sufficient number of customers who reject this pagan throwback, don’t care about this manufactured holiday, or do care about it but can think of nothing they’d rather do on this day than attend a tasting at my shop. We’re starting with a light, dry, lightly fizzy red wine from Emilia-Romagna. Then a wine which is all about love, or at least has love in its name, Chris Brockway’s “Love Red,” a light, spiced, juicy wine that you can serve chilled if you feel like it. To follow, a dry, mineral, smoky red from the volcanic terroir of the Roman countryside, and then a medium-bodied, earthy sangiovese not from Tuscany but from Emilia-Romagna.
